Advanced Scuba Diver / Advanced Open Water

Let your underwater adventure continue! Apply your scuba skills as you explore new dive sites and activities under the supervision and training of your Oak Hill Scuba Instructor. What are the requirements?

As long as you are 12 years or older, a certified diver and in good physical condition, you can enroll in the Advanced Scuba Diver course at Oak Hill Scuba. Come in or call to register for the next available class. You don't want to stay a beginner, get your Advanced!

Gain valuable experience

In the Advanced Scuba Diver class, you will complete up to 6 dives. These include Deep, Night and Navigation. Additional dives can be Search & Recovery, Boat, Wreck, Shore, Photography and more.

You Need To Take This Class

IIf you are a new diver , just out of your certification class, the Advanced class allows you to gain additional experience under the guidance of an instructor. Even experienced divers say that the Advanced class helped them to feel more comfortable in the water. Also, more and more dive operations are requiring advanced certification for dives such as you will experience in the Advanced class.

DO YOU NEED TO BUY BOOKS AND A LOT OF EQUIPMENT?

The Advanced Scuba Diver textbook costs $29.95. Students are required to have their own personal gear. Additionally, each student will need a primary and backup underwater light, a tank light and an underwater slate. All other scuba gear is available for rent from Oak Hill Scuba. As a student, you qualify for a 10% discount on ANY scuba gear you purchase.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

The typical Advanced class is completed over a single weekend. If you are not available when we have a class scheduled, let us know and we can work out a schedule that suits you. A typical weekend schedule goes as follows:
Saturday Aquarena Center or Lake Travis 2:00 - 4:00 Meet at Oak Hill Scuba to complete paperwork, review text book and gather gear. 5:00 - 10:00 UW Navigation, Elective Dive, Night Dive Sunday: Lake Travis from Shore or by Boat 1:00 - 5:00 Deep Dive, Wreck Dive, Search & Recovery Dive

HOW MUCH IS ALL THIS GOING TO COST?

The Advanced Scuba Diver class in itself is very affordable. You can save even more money when you combine the class with the Nitrox specialty.

If you like, you can complete the book work online with PADI, then come to us to complete the required dives.
